If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Joffe Numeroff

This is a good story for learning about cause and effect. (If you need to review, try these games: Cause and Effect Game & If Then Game). We spent time in class talking about how a cause can have an effect, and that can become the next cause in a long chain. Sometimes that chain even connects back to itself in a circle. If you are interested in making a diagram of that, try out this Interactive Circle Plot

Your assignment is to go to the discussions tab at the top and help build a cause and effect chain. Each student should use the sentence that comes before them as a cause, and give an effect. I wonder what kind of story we will end up with?
Remember to use the word "if" at the beginning of a cause and effect. Remember to separate the cause and effect with a comma.
